One of my unique talents is that I speak 5 different languages, so I find myself eavesdropping on elevators all the time!

Elizabeth

Elizabeth, JD, MTS is a meditation teacher, scholar, speaker, theologian, lawyer, writer, and published poet, who holds three Harvard degrees, speaks five languages, and has designed over thirty different programs for happiness, connection, energy, and resilience. She is also the founder of Happiness Sangha.

Elizabeth brings a vast educational background to her teachings. She graduated magna cum laude from Harvard University with a degree in Romance Languages and Literatures and a secondary field in the Classics. In 2020 she completed a J.D. at Harvard Law School and an MTS in Buddhist Studies at Harvard Divinity School.

Elizabeth studied the neuroscience, philosophy, and pedagogy of compassion at Stanford Medical School at the Stanford Center for Compassion and Altruism Research and Education (CCARE) from 2012 to 2013. Since then, she has taught happiness and meditation at Columbia University, Columbia Law School, Columbia Medical School, Deutsche Bank, Harvard University, Harvard Law School, Horace Mann, Novartis, NYU Medical School, Rubin Museum, Tibet House US, and Warby Parker, among other places.

Elizabeth has worked for the NY Attorney General's Office, the Global Justice Center, and Click Therapeutics in NYC; for Italian television at RAI International in Rome; for the United Nations in Geneva; and for the Stanford Center for Compassion and Altruism Research and Education (CA) in Palo Alto, CA.

She has worked or studied in Argentina, France, Italy, Peru, Spain, Switzerland, and Russia. Her international experience has led her to understand that among those of different traditions, customs, and religions, people find happiness in many of the same ways. They want to be healthy, do meaningful work, and be close to loved ones— and what brings joy is practicing compassion, self-kindness, and deep awareness.

For the past decade, Elizabeth has been designing programs which integrate science, several contemplative traditions, and ancient wisdom from many ages and cultures. The classes integrate emotional, psychological, spiritual, and intellectual growth. She teaches compassion meditation, energy, happiness, and meaning of life classes to groups in person and virtually through the Happiness Sangha. She also has a small private practice which includes celebrities.

This work is the biggest privilege of her life.
