Over the last decade Heather Spicer McMurray worked in Global Corporate HR for Fortune 50 companies such as Walmart and Hewlett Packard. She holds a Master’s degree in Psychology and Counseling with a focus in Neuroscience. Her heart and passion are for helping individuals reach maximum performance from a wholistic approach.

Heather’s expertise lies in her authentic ability to engage, educate and consult on such topics as leadership, talent management, workforce analytics, organizational effectiveness, learning, innovation, EQ and inclusivity.  She is a mother of a 3-year-old and wife, Peace Corps nominee, competitive athlete, musician, and culture aficionado. Heather’s favorite places she’s traveled to are Costa Rica, Virgin Islands, London, Ireland, and the Philippines. She’s lived in Washington D.C., Virginia, Arkansas, California and was born in Arizona.

There she attended the University of Arizona and received her Bachelor’s in Communication and Business with a focus in Spanish. Her Freshman year she played UofA club soccer and her Senior year was elected Senator to represent 34,000 of the student body.  Her Master's Degree in Psychology and Counseling is from George Mason and Regent University. There she was a department delegate, on the board of a counseling professional organization, and a school ambassador.

Professionally, Heather’s most recent HR experience was as Director, Org Effectiveness with Banner Health where she worked with corporate executives to assess the climate and culture of Banner Health to increase development, engagement and effectiveness for personnel.

Prior to Banner she was the Business Learning and Development Lead at Hewlett Packard Enterprise responsible for the learning and talent development of over 10,000 employees.

From 2012 to 2015, Heather managed Global Talent at Walmart Corporate and eCommerce where she aggressively developed internal talent with a groundbreaking 50% promotion rate through partnership with Harvard Business School.

Heather, her husband Andrew, and their son Levi live in Phoenix, Arizona.
